Heat a wok over high heat, add the ghee and swirl to coat. Melt the butter in a wok or heavy frying pan over medium-high to high heat. Cook briefly, then stir in the oil-poached prawns, Chinese rice wine, sugar, and chili paste. Heat a non stick fry pan and dry fry the naan.

  4. Prepare 5 tbsp butter chicken cooking sauce. I have used kohinoor butter chicken cooking sauce
  5. Prepare 2 tsp cooking oil

With each bite, strong licks of curry, pepper, and chilli padi tickles the tongue. Soothe the heat withdeliciously tasty eggfloss, a more than generous garnish for this heavily seasoned dish. Add evaporated milk, sugar, chicken powder. We served these creamy Malaysian butter prawns recipe in a creamy curry leaf sauce over a big bowl of steamed rice.

Steps to make Butter prawn curry:
  1. First fry the prawns in a pan with oil. Then add cooking sauce. You can add as much as you want. It depends on how thick you want your gravy. Then mix them and add little bit of water. Cover with the lid and cook it in medium to low heat.
  2. Once the prawns are cooked garnish with fresh coriander. Serve with flatbread or rice. As we love spicy curry I have added some chilli flakes on top.
