  4. Measure the dry ingredients into a bowl and whisk.
  5. Slowly add the dry mixture into the wet mixture in batches making sure to whisk thoroughly.
  6. Place into your loaf tin and level out the top. Place into the oven for 1 hour or until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. Leave to cool inside the tin for 5 minutes and then remove to place on a wire rack.
  8. Sprinkle the loaf lightly with icing sugar (optional) and serve with a topping of your choice.
