  4. Roll out your puff pastry and add your cooked mixture in a line in the middle. Fold the pastry over itself and use a fork to secure the edges. Cut slits into the top of the sausage roll to allow air to escape.
  5. Whisk the egg and use it as egg wash on the pastry. Place in the oven and cook for 20-30 minutes or until the pastry is cooked properly and browned.
  6. I added boiled quail eggs in the middle of one of my sausage rolls as an experiment and it turned out great!
  7. Allow to cool down and enjoy!
