When I was living there, my roommates and I would wait all week for Couscous Friday, so naturally when I returned to the States, I had major withdrawals from it. As I mentioned, couscous is a gluten-containing pasta, so anyone with celiac disease or a gluten sensitivity should steer clear.

  4. Stir and cover with a tight lid and leave for 5-7 minutes
  5. Heat up your pan and add your oil
  6. Dice up red onions and pour in your heated pan and stir (make sure your pan is on low heat at this point)
  7. Add your veggies into your pan and stir evenly
  8. Add a table spoon of white pepper
  9. Add your sausages
  10. Add your couscous and stir evenly
  11. Cover your pan and leave it to cook for 2-3 minutes
  12. Bon appetite!

It's a strong breakfast made to keep farmers and workers full until lunchtime. Take room temperature couscous and spread it out on a baking sheet in an even layer—this will prevent clumping from occurring while it freezes. Slip the sheet into the freezer and once the couscous has frozen, transfer it to a zip-close freezer bag or another sealed container. Couscous is amazingly easy to cook. Couscous is a North African staple sold in refined and whole-wheat varieties.
