INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BEST VEGAN OMELET This recipe is all about flavour and texture. To start, heat oil over medium-high heat, and cook chopped shallot until it becomes translucent and fragrant. Once cooked, put the onion in a blender with medium tofu, nutritional yeast, olive or avocado oil, garlic powder, turmeric. And with some vegan cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, onion and some sliced up vegan sausage, vegan omelettes are just perfect vegan breakfast food.

To get started with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook vegan omelette using 8 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Vegan omelette:
  1. Prepare 1 (300 g) Pack silken tofu
  2. Get 300 g any raw mixed vegetables-broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, spring onion, mushroom etc
  3. Take Oil for frying (or FryLight)
  4. Get 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  5. Make ready 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  6. Get Cornflour slurry (1 heaped teaspoon & a bit of cold water)
  7. Prepare Salt and pepper
  8. Take 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast

Cooking the Vegan Omelet Lightly oil the bottom of a medium-sized skillet and place it over medium heat. Once it's hot, pour in your batter. From there, the process is much like cooking a traditional omelet. It is also naturally nut-free and gluten-free.

Steps to make Vegan omelette:
  1. Fry the chopped mixed vegetables gently until soft
  2. Blend the tofu & other ingredients until mixed and smooth. Add a little water if it’s too stiff but you want it quite thick. Taste and season as desired.
  3. Spread the tofu mixture into 4 silicone moulds, that are lightly greased. Then add the mixed vegetables pressing them into the tofu.
  4. Bake on 160° C for about 50-60 minutes until firm. Turn out onto a plate and serve with buttered toast or spicy beans. Enjoy!! 😀

From there, the process is much like cooking a traditional omelet. It is also naturally nut-free and gluten-free. The base is created using garbanzo bean flour, but if you have a sensitivity, you could always try swapping it out for cornmeal flour or another flour of your choice.
